Lu Li stared at her. He found himself completely trusting her words and free of worry of any tricks. Somehow, her pure looks and eyes could bring about trust and kindness.
Lu Li asked another question after some thoughts, “Why do you trust me? Aren’t you afraid that I am going to hurt you?”
The girl lowered her head as she looked for an answer. Then, she looked back up and said, “Instinct. I can tell you are a good man.”
“Good man?”
Lu Li broke into laughter. He was no good man. As a matter of fact, could warriors be good men? Which warrior’s hands was not soaked in blood? Which warrior hadn’t taken an innocent person’s life?
“Alright. For the sake of being a good man, I will help you.”
Lu Li made up his mind. He remembered the wooden token with the word “BLOOD” on it. Not long ago, he was just saved by a warrior of mystery or he would have been killed. His life was saved by others and he could not convince himself to sit by and watch in this situation.
