Young Master’s personality had suddenly changed because of a woman. Should he tell Madam about this?
But when he reached his room, he lowered the phone in his hand. Li An’an was just a maid. If Madam knew about this, she would be happy for the time being, but it might bring Li An’an a lot of trouble.
Recalling Li An’an’s bright, hardworking face, Chu De finally put down the phone and decided to wait and see!
Perhaps it was nothing!
Li An’an went to the garden to cut some roses. The flowers in the villa’s vases were a little wilted and had to be replaced.
Upstairs, Chu Yichen stood in front of the window with a glass of red wine in his hand, staring at Li An’an’s side profile.
Under the sunlight, her face was fair and gently curved, like flawless white jade. It looked very soft, and he wondered if it would be exceptionally nice to the touch.
Instinct told him that there was something wrong about her.
Chu De knocked on the door.
“Young Master, I’ve checked. Li An’an lost her job because Miss Gu made things difficult for her. I’ve also verified her identity and background. There’s no problem. She’s an orphan.”
“All right.”
Chu Yichen was still staring at Li An’an.
“How did she make it through the selection?”
He remembered that she was a car model and doubted she was qualified to work as a maid in the villa.
Butler Chu explained, “She’s very proficient in housework. It doesn’t seem like she learned it recently; her techniques appear to have been mastered over a long period of time instead. Moreover, I’ve observed that her hands are much rougher than the skin on her face. There are also wounds. She should have been doing housework since she was young. Chu Yichen finished the last mouthful of wine and walked back into the room.
At the Apartment
Li An’an was caught in a dilemma. Her intuition told her that she had to stay away from Chu Yichen. However, seeing her three babies happily eating the grapes made her heart ache. In the end, she weighed the pros and cons and decided to continue working.
“Mommy, it’s so delicious. Will Baobao be able to eat it again tomorrow?”
Li Baobao finished the last grape and licked her lips, savoring every drop. Her beautiful lips were covered in fruit peel.
She did not know how to peel the grapes, so she bit into them with her teeth before eating the flesh inside. As a result, she was covered in grape juice.
Li Junjun wiped her mouth with a paper towel.
“Sister, Mommy has to earn money for our studies, so she can’t always be buying these. Look, wasn’t kindergarten fun today?”
Li Baobao’s eyes widened. “Yes, I like Brother Chenchen!”
Li Junjun unhappily grabbed her little braid. Li Jùnjùn did the same.
“No, WE are your brothers.”
Li Baobao was hurt. She clutched her head angrily and insisted that she liked Brother Chenchen.
Li An’an was curious.
“Is Chenchen a boy from kindergarten? He must be very popular?” Was he a boy who was prettier than her two sons? This really piqued her interest.
Li Baobao nodded.
She would not tell her mother that Chenchen was a chubby little boy with a lot of snacks.
He was very willing to share those snacks with her.
As Li An’an watched the three children play around, the day’s fatigue was completely swept away.
She would definitely work hard and earn back her three babies’ child support from Chu Yichen!
In the Morning
As usual, Li An’an sent the three children to school. As she couldn’t be late for work, she woke them up at 6 o’clock and took the bus to the kindergarten.
The three children were still half asleep, and it was very crowded on the bus. She could only carry Li Baobao, and let Junjun hold Jùnjùn’s hand. The three children were exceptionally pretty, and turned many heads on the bus.
“Children, come sit here.”
A friendly lady gave up her seat. Li An’an let the three children sit together and thanked the lady.
“Are they triplets? They’re so beautiful! But why are you alone? Where’s their father?”
