“Check with HR if you don’t know who she is. It’s decided then,” Su Yu said as he got up to leave. He didn’t even give the other executives a chance to refute.

After Su Yu and An left the conference room, the latter couldn’t help but say, “President Su, you’re being too obvious.”
“About what?”
“Playing favorites with Han Yueyao,” An laughed.
“It’s a dance competition, of course we need to send a dancer. Or else she’ll just embarrass the company.”
“Okay then, you’re good looking, so everything you say is right.” An had predicted an answer like this; Su Yu was great at finding a good reason for his decisions.
Of course, An also thought that President Su played favorites because of the car accident. He must be feeling guilty about her injuries.
After getting in the car, Su Yu suddenly asked, “How’s the investigation going?”
“I’m still looking into it. President Qin, Dr. Huo, and Gao Ran are investigating as well.”
“They all knew, but no one told me,” Su Yu muttered calmly.
“They probably want to help you without you finding out,” An said.
“Of course that’s what it is, Dr. Huo sure is indifferent on the outside but super nice on the inside…”
After Su Yu was discharged, he told An to look into the car accident. During his time at the hospital, he kept thinking about what happened. Something was off – how could a car accident be so quick and clean?
The perpetrator died, and moreover, he didn’t have any family?
After some investigation, Su Yu understood, just like how Huo Mian and Gao Ran figured it out.
Someone wanted to kill him, and this accident was meticulously planned. Fortunately for him, he didn’t die. However, he put Han Yueyao in danger.
On the night of the accident, after disembarking the ship, Han Yueyao said she could go back to the dorm herself, but Su Yu drove her out of the goodness of his heart. In the end, they both almost died. Therefore, An was right: Su Yu purposely gave this opportunity to Han Yueyao.
So what if the other executives didn’t agree? It was not like anyone would say anything. After all, Su Yu named Han Yueyao herself.
Upon hearing the news, Gao Yaruo sat there in disbelief. Disgruntled, she found one of the executives that she had previously bribed. “Manager Wang, I thought you told me it would be me for sure! What happened?”
“I… I’m not sure. President Su never asks about stuff like this, he was very weird today.”
“Does that mean I don’t have a chance anymore?”
The truth was, Gao Yaruo wasn’t angry that she couldn’t go. Rather, she was angry that Han Yueyao was going – what a slap on her face!
Moreover, she had just picked on Han Yueyao today. Now, she was going to become the laughing stock of everyone she knew!

“Ahem, I, I um, really don’t know what happened, I just heard about it.” Han Yueyao was still adjusting to the news.
“Yueyao, rumor has it that you’ve been dating President Su ever since President Huo’s boat party, is it true?”
