But she also knew she had gone against Mrs. Su’s wish when the latter helped her into Su Yu’s company; obviously, Mrs. Su wanted her to be Su Yu’s girlfriend and had told her that her job in Imperial Star was only a disguise; she must remain as a trainee and never become an actress.

But now, she would not only shoot a drama but would work with Jiang Ye, an actor who had won the Best Actor award.

How could Mrs. Su let it go without asking?

Han Yueyao couldn’t tell her that it was Huo Mian who had helped her get the part; if she did that, she’d betray her benefactor. She’d never do such a despicable thing.

“Why?” Mrs. Su looked at the girl’s exquisite face quietly.

“I need money.”

“How much do you need? You can ask me for it.” Mrs. Su looked at her.

“I don’t want to take money from you like a beggar… It’s not right to take money that’s not mine. I want to make money with honest work. But if I work as an office lady, I can’t make that much money even after one whole year, which is why I took the shortcut. I’m sorry, Auntie Su, for deceiving you.”
