“How did this happen? Lin Hang’s not a violent person.”
“It’s not entirely his fault. Li Bin and his friends were harassing this woman at the bar and drugging her. Lin Hang saw what happened, and he recognized that the woman was the younger sister of a frequent client; she’s a really nice person. He couldn’t sit there and do nothing, so he ran up to stop them. That’s how they got into this fight.”
“Was Hang injured?”
“He’s fine, he hurt his hand. But I heard Li Bin broke four ribs.”
“Damn, what should I do?” Su Xiaoxiao sighed heavily – the entire world knew she liked Lin Hang, yet she couldn’t help at all.
Han Yueyao, who was standing beside them, didn’t utter a word. After all, this was a serious incident.
“No, I have to go see him,” Su Xiaoxiao said as he ran back into the police office.
“Officer, can I see my boyfriend?”
“We’re not done interrogating him yet,” the police responded indifferently.
“The municipal bureau arrested him; they’re not going to let us see them. We tried already.”
“I’m going to die of anxiety…” Su Xiaoxiao was on the verge of tears.
Suddenly, Han Yueyao thought of an idea. “Xiaoxiao, calm down, let me try.”
“Yueyao, don’t use force,” Su Xiaoxiao said with worry.
“I won’t do that, don’t worry.” Then, Han Yueyao walked over to the police officer with a smile on her face. “Officer, is Director Gao here tonight?”
“You know Director Gao?” The officer froze for a second; the look on his face became complicated.
“I do.” Han Yueyao nodded guiltily.
“Wait, let me make a call.”
Soon after he made the call, Gao Ran came downstairs. He looked at Han Yueyao, feeling a little confused. Was this the young woman who wanted to see him?
“You know me?” Gao Ran asked, not sure what was going on.
