Beneath her was a thick cotton-padded mattress, and she was covered in a floral quilt.
The pillow beneath her head looked antique and was the shape of a log.
It didn’t look like heaven, so Huo Mian thought she might not be dead.
Did she travel back to the past?
She was afraid that she had traveled to ancient times; it would be worse than death.
“Mian, you finally woke up.”
A man opened the door and entered; he looked pleased when he saw Huo Mian’s wide-open eyes.
Hearing Huo Siqian’s voice, Huo Mian’s heart sank again.

He was dressed in a simple white shirt and brown linen pants.
The clothes were in the countryside style of ancient China.
“It’s part of my plan. We didn’t die,” he said.
“Where’s this place? ”
Seeing the strange room, Huo Mian was resentful.
“This is an uninhabited island with no one but us; it’s far, far away from the mainland and no one will find us.”
“You… are really a psycho.”
Hearing that they were on an uninhabited island, Huo Mian felt desperate again.
“I originally wanted to bring you to my private island; it has a manor, gardens, maids, gardeners, and lots of fresh fruits and vegetables, just like heaven. After Qin Chu and Su Yu give up their search for you and everyone thinks you’re dead, I’ll take you to that island, okay?”
Huo Siqian squatted down by the bed as he spoke and looked at Huo Mian’s eyes gently.
He sounded as if he was dotingly trying to please a child.
“Huo Siqian, it’s not fine. You’ve imprisoned me?” Huo Mian was furious and wanted to fight him but found she didn’t have any strength.
“No. This isn’t imprisonment but company. Only I will stay with you the longest…” He put his big hand on Huo Mian’s shoulder.
