“I believe that another weapon caused the wound on Liu Ze’s hand. He’s a doctor, he knew that if he used the fruit knife to frame Su Yu, the evidence would stand against him… Quite possibly, he used that fruit knife to add a deeper wound on top of the already existing wound.”
“You mean that to frame Su Yu, Liu Ze used the fruit knife to cover the original wound to make it appear as if a fruit knife did it.”
“Yes.” Huo Mian nodded.
“He’s smart, he knows how to cut.” Lin Mingyu was a little surprised.
“He’s smart, that’s for sure. He’s a doctor, so of course he knows how to cut.” Huo Mian stuck with her hypothesis.
“Ha, that’s interesting then…”
“So I want to clear his name, and this is where I want to begin.”
“Say whatever you want me to help you with.”
“I want you to reassess Liu Ze’s wound for me and see what he was trying to cover up.”
“You can do this kind of stuff yourself, Huo Mian… I heard that when you took your exam, your dissection skills were godlike… You shouldn’t ask me to do it for you, you’re gifted enough to do so,” looking at her admiringly, he said.
“But I’m not a forensic doctor. The Bureau and the judge won’t recognize my work. They will recognize your work,” Huo Mian slowly said.
