“He’s getting married?” Qin Chu frowned slightly, not sure if he heard right.
Yeah.”
“To who?”
“I think he’s talking about Yan Ruoxi, Mayor Yan’s daughter. You know that they used to date, right?”
“Did he tell you personally that he was marrying Yan Ruoxi?” Qin Chu continued to ask.
“No, he just said that he was getting married, but I don’t think he would lie about something as big as this. Huo Siqian wouldn’t joke like that,” Huo Mian analyzed.
“That’s weird then.”
“How so?”
“Why would Huo Siqian get married at a time like this? It’s not normal,” Qin Chu muttered out loud.
“Honey, do you think he needs Mayor Yan for something, that’s why he agreed to marry Yan Ruoxi?”
Qin Chu shook his head. “It can’t be. Huo Siqian’s current power and status is enough that he doesn’t need Mayor Yan’s help for anything. Didn’t you see? Huo Siqian doesn’t even care about the Huo Corporation crisis, which means he doesn’t care about money anymore. All he wants now is you.”
Upon hearing Qin Chu’s spot-on analysis, Huo Mian froze, and she wasn’t sure what to say.
“We should take precaution against Huo Siqian for his odd behaviors like this.”
“Honey, what should we do then?” Huo Mian began to worry as well; after all, when Huo Siqian didn’t play by the rules, he was extremely hard to predict.
“Let’s stay put for now, find out what he’s trying to do.”
“Mhm.” Huo Mian nodded.
“Honey…”
“Yeah?”

“Okay.” Qin Chu then watched Huo Mian walk out of the Study-
Then, he began processing the information he received today – Huo Siqian getting married, and the demon side of Huo Siqian that Song Yishi was talking about in her diary.
Things seemed more complicated than ever…
As Huo Mian headed down, she saw that Cai Yue, one of the maids, was indeed hovering by the bottom of the staircase. She immediately looked down and squeezed out some tears.
“Young Madam, why are you crying?” Cai Yue asked.
“No, I’m fine,” Huo Mian said on purpose as she quickened her footsteps.
“Mian, what’s wrong? Have you and Chu been fighting again?” Mrs. Qin asked with concern.
