“Oh! Does this mean you will be coming?” The woman looked pleasantly surprised.
“I’m asking what time.”
“Six o’clock, at MuFu, suite 808.”
Okay, you may go now.”
“Thank you, President Qin,” Sun Xiaoxiao said happily. Initially, she thought President Qin wouldn’t agree to go. After all, she was just a small employee in the corporation. However, since President Qin actually agreed, she was ecstatic.
By the time it was around five o’clock, Bella knocked on the door and walked in. “President Qin, you have a one-on-one interview with Times Magazine at 6:30 tonight.”
“You can cancel it for me.”
“Um… But this was booked for you by Assistant Yang when he was here. It’s a really good opportunity.”
“No need, I have business tonight.”

“When is Yang coming back?” Qin Chu asked.
“He is still recovering, it might take two months at the very least,” Bella answered.

Initially, it was supposed to be Dr. Fan from the neurology department that was on duty tonight. However, her daughter suddenly contracted a high fever, and Dr. Fan had gone home to take care of her. Huo Mian, who was about to get off work, stayed behind for the night to cover for Dr. Fan.

Huo Mian had just gotten out of the cafeteria after dinner, when she heard a rather loud discussion between the young nurses.
“Hey, did you guys see Zhang Manlin’s social media update?”
“No, I don’t have her Wechat, what happened?”
“I just saw her new update. Guess who she’s having dinner with?”
“Who?”
“I bet you will never guess! Don’t be surprised when I tell you guys. She’s with President Qin.”
“President Qin? Which President Qin?”
“Are you guys dumb? How many President Qins are there? Of course, it’s the big boss of the GK Corporation.”
“But, isn’t that our vice director’s husband?”
“Exactly, I bet the vice director doesn’t even know. I just saw her staying late for work at the cafeteria. She probably has no idea that her husband is having dinner with another woman.”
Yeah, now when I see Vice Director, I will kind of feel sorry for her. I mean, although Zhang Manlin looks like a nice enough person… I think the vice director is better.”
“Typical men, they always think the grass on the other side is greener. The vice director already had two kids, and he’s still thinking about cheating…”
“Who knows, maybe he wants a son? Isn’t this pretty typical for the rich?”
“That’s true. But, if I was the vice director, I’d probably just take the chance and be with Mr. Su. After all, Mr. Su did court the vice director for so long. Maybe the couple can each do their own thing,” The nurses were all born after the 90s, and spoke with no filter. However, despite all that, none of them really mean any of it; it was all purely for the sake of having some gossip.
Passing by, Huo Mian heard what they had said and she couldn’t help but feel a little… uncomfortable.
She leaned against the wall in a rather discreet hallway and gave Qin Chu a call.
“Honey…”
“What is it?”
“Where are you? I’m missing you a little.” Huo Mian smiled.
“I’m outside.”
“Outside for business?” Huo Mian asked intentionally.
“Eating with colleagues,” Qin Chu glanced over at Sun Xiaoxiao that was sitting across from him and answered calmly. “Oh, okay, I will let you get back to it.”
“What is it? Is something wrong?” Qin Chu asked.
“Nothing, I’m on duty at the hospital. It’s all good, I just suddenly miss you very much,” Huo Mian said, and hung up the phone.
At this time, Zhang Manlin ,who sat beside Qin Chu said half-jokingly, “What’s going on , President Qin? Is it our vice director calling to check up on you?”
