“Why don’t you take a guess?” Lu Yan stuck out her tongue mischievously.

Qiao Fei looked at her as if he saw the answer coming a century ago.

“Why are you just staring at me? Take a guess!”

“Do I really need to guess? You want to intercept it.”

“So smart!” Lu Yan bopped Qiao Fei’s head with her index finger and chuckled.

“Yan, listen to me. This is not a game, you can’t just do this. First of all, this is Ian’s nest. If every single subordinate of his fired a shot at us, we’d be in pieces. Second of all, this batch of military ammunition seems very important, and if he were to lose it, he would never let us walk away from it. Finally, it’s just the two of us right now, we’re too weak. The mighty dragon is no match for the native serpent (TL note: it’s a saying that means the stronger side might not be able to win if they are in the weaker side’s territory); we shouldn’t shoot ourselves in the foot, especially under someone else’s property.” Ever since Qiao Fei began traveling with Lu Yan, the word ‘crazy1 was an understatement for describing his days.

He had not had a single calm day where it didn’t rain bullets and explosives. If he had to count the total number of assassins that the two of them took out, the number might not be as many as a hundred, but it was at least eighty.

Asides from that, they had also been outrunning several different batches of Ian’s subordinates, as well as the people sent by the Indonesian government.

If there was the slightest disagreement coming from Qiao Fei, Yan would always tell him to go back to Russia.

Qiao Fei pressed his lips, and after several moments, he final commented, “Both you and Sister Mian are daughters of Dr. Lu, but you two are so different.”

To his surprise, Lu Yan simply said, “No shit. Haven’t you heard the dragon had nine sons, and they’re all different? So, of course, my sis and I will be different. She’s graceful, and I’m a glutton, haha!”

Qiao Fei was left speechless once more. Sometimes, he wondered, how the hell did he decide on this troublemaker to be the love of his life? But regardless of what she does, if he had chosen her, he had no intention of switching halfway through.

They will have roughly thirty people or so on the receiving end, but I’m unsure of the number of deliverers. When the two parties separate, we will wait on the side road for an ambush. I will bury down the explosives and blow up the car in the front, and by the time the subordinates come down to check the car, I will fire my gun to capture their attention while you get on the loaded truck that is following them and meet me at the hillside that’s five kilometers away. I will come to find you once I wipe them clean.

“What then? We can’t get out of Pakistan with the batch of ammunition, we’ll be too big of a target,” Qiao Fei pointed out his worries.

“My plan isn’t to leave with the ammunitions,” Lu Yan said.

“So what are you planning to do?”

“Dismantle all of it and toss them into the ocean,” Lu Yan answered without hesitation.

Qiao Fei fell speechless for a moment and then continued, “So… you’re looting the batch just for fun?!”
