“What is it, Xixi?”

“I think it’s a mistake that I came to the States,” Xixi said in a sobbing voice.

“Calm down, Xixi. Tell me what happened slowly.”

Ever since Huo Mian saw Luna, Huo Mian had become worried about Xixi getting in trouble in New Orleans.

When Rick took over his family business, the time he could spend with her decreased.

“Mian, I’m in a bad situation right now…”

“Xixi, have you met Luna?”

The woman who self-proclaims to be Rick’s fiancee?” Xixi responded.

Yeah, I’ve met her soon after coming to the States. That woman is proud and arrogant but was kicked out by Rick. She told her father about me and her father wanted to kill me. When Rick found out, he was very mad. He cut all ties with Luna’s family and the two families are at war with each other. Luna’s father even got injured so now his family is in a deep rivalry with Rick’s… That’s why I’m a burden to Rick. No one likes me here. They all think I’m bad luck for Rick. If Rick chose to be with Luna, then it’ll be better for him… Not only am I unable to help him, I’m also creating more trouble for him. Mian, what should I do? I feel so depressed…” Xixi started to whimper again.

Huo Mian could tell that Xixi was very depressed or she wouldn’t be crying during their WeChat call.
