“It’s not that simple, I met Huo Mian in private and she told me that there’s someone even more powerful backing Huo Siqian. We can’t easily offend him…” Huo Yanyan warned.
“What’s so bad about that? I’ll deal with whatever comes our way. I promised to avenge you, and I won’t back down. Don’t worry.”
“But…” Huo Yanyan pursed her brows and was just about to say something.
Shen Mingxi interrupted, “Yanyan, let’s eat. It’s getting cold.”

Huo Siqian’s flamboyant side was gone. Instead of wearing one of his trademark colorful suits, he was wearing a dark gray suit.
He looked more mature and calm than usual.
“Mr. Huo, how does your company plan to deal with what happened this afternoon? Did Du Zhili do what he did on his own free will or did you have a part in it?” The reporter’s first question was already hard to answer.
Huo Siqian didn’t fret, as he looked incredibly relaxed.
He lowered his head towards the mic. “To be honest, Du Zhili was a long-time employee of the Huo Corporation. He rose to power when my father was the CEO. He was an old and valued member, and I didn’t think that he would actually do something of this caliber. I am deeply shocked and hurt by the results…”
“President Huo, are you saying that you’re free of blame? Everyone is saying that you’re trying to prove your innocence,” another reporter emotionlessly said.
“My friend from the press, that’s quite laughable. One, I have always been innocent, I don’t need to prove anything. I am simply retelling the truth. If I had known, I wouldn’t have let this happen. The reporter immediately couldn’t find a rebuttal…

As the vice director of the finance department, he has an annual income of at least a million. His family condition is good, and he wouldn’t do something such as this,” a reporter inquired.
“We’re also investigating this. We have the information that he went to a casino in Singapore about a week ago and lost 1.8 billion. I think that may be related. After all, the money he lost wasn’t completely his own, he was responsible for managing the transactions for the project between us and the Shen Corporation. He had his way of withdrawing the funds.
